I am bilingual Dutch-English with a lot of speaking and writing experience, speak English daily with my Australian partner and enjoy passing on my knowledge to others. In addition, I have a lot of patience for people who have difficulties with different parts of English. I can offer help with sentence structure, grammar, pronunciation, reading skills and vocabulary practice, in order to give you or your child more certainty and guidance in the language. With students I focus on the problem points that exist and I use the school method. If, for example, it appears that a solid foundation is still missing, I can jump in and offer support in learning this. For (young) adults who are not (or no longer) in school, we will mainly focus on vocabulary, correct sentence structure and grammar in the beginners' lessons. However, I also quickly start speaking, reading and listening. With advanced students I focus on, among other things, speaking and listening skills and advanced word use by holding conversations together, watching documentaries and reading books. For starting students I use the books of "English for Everyone" and expand my lessons myself with extra materials, such as tailor-made exercises. Nothing else is required, and everything is possible in consultation.

That's why I offer you my help! I am a French native from Poitou Charente. I traveled all around the world when i was a teenager and a young adult especially in Asia. Now i'm finishing my studies in Paris. For several years, I have been teaching English to children and adults of all levels. I completed a Bachelor's degree in multilingual communication (Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of the University of Geneva) and am available to help other students and share my knowledge with them. I started learning German in primary school, have completed numerous language stays in Germany, including a semester as an au pair with daily language classes, and have been living and working for over 3 years in Germany. I also did a semester in Liverpool with daily lessons in a language school and continue to practice it as part of my work. I obtained an official certificate attesting to my level of German (telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule) in 2016, but my current level is a C2. Living in Germany, this is the language I speak on a daily basis. Concerning English, I passed the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (C1) in 2016 as well and uses it fluently in my work. As for the French is my mother tongue. I look forward to being able to help you in your learning and to pass on to you my passion for languages over the course of our meetings! Russian language from Beginner to Advanced Online and Offline (Amsterdam)

In terms of vocabulary, I had a good foundation through Duolingo. Decided to take one-to-one lessons with Palina to also improve grammar and listening and speaking skills. Now at lesson 4 and very happy with my choice :). After saying hello (in Russian of course) the lesson starts with a listening or speaking practice, followed by a short repetition of the grammar rule of the previous lesson and the introduction of a new grammar rule. Keep in mind, however, that the structure of lessons may depend on your level of Russian.

I have had four lessons with Sam and I must say he is an excellent teacher. My main goal is to practise my speaking skills and it is very easy with him because I feel very comfortable talking to him.
