Depending on your level in our lessons, we might start by practicing basic things like scales. Then, we move on to different books that match how good you are at playing. I'll teach you special techniques, like the Tune Day Method, to help you get better. But most importantly, I want you to enjoy what you're playing, so I'll let you choose the songs you enjoy.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. Learning to play an instrument is an amazing skill to possess! I have been playing guitar for 12 years now and piano for 2 years. Playing instrument provides me with a hobby that is equal parts calming and fun, it brings joy to me and to others. It is best to start learning music at a young age however, it is never too late to pick up a new skill! I myself have recently tried learning the cello and it is exciting to say the least. I have many years experience tutoring and teaching both academically and musically. I have taught ages 4-15 years old in the past as well as having many years experience in customer service.
