Trusted teacher: Cosy private lessons for everybody I try to make my online lessons as cosy as possible. I use the video-conference system, so I can see my students and they can see me; we can talk, we make the exercises together, I explain all the grammar, and if my students have any doubt or questions, I explain it orally which I think makes it easier to be understood. It is as if we were sitting in an office side by side. The only thing we cannot do is drinking a coffee while we study. Besides the lessons, I always send some homework. I will send a book that we follow, and the rest of the material is sent by me by e-mail as well. As soon as it is possible, I advise my students to start reading books in the language they learn, and from the very beginning to start listening to the TV. It is a way of being surrounded by the language. I always insist a lot on the accent, and this helps. I have students with a perfect accent. Listening to the language also helps to open the hears to the sounds, making easier to understand. From the very beginning I also start with small conversations in each lesson. You may believe that all my students are being very successful with this kind of lessons. I have now students from all over the world. Concerning the level my students attain, ofcourse it depends on them. Together we see what your needs are and how fast you want to learn. As for the number of lessons per week, I advise that you should have at least two. Less than two is very little and you have a long break between lessons. It is bad because you don't have any contact with the language and feel that you are advancing very slowly. We can also have lessons in the weekend if that is easier for you.

Trusted teacher: My name is Ségolène (24 years old). Already active in professional life in the field of insurance, I have a Master's degree in Business Administration in Dutch and English (NL/EN), and I am currently preparing for the aggregation (Educatieve Master) at KUL . My mother tongue is French, but from an early age, I followed my schooling in Dutch, which allowed me to become perfectly bilingual. I love helping primary school students in any subject, as well as secondary school students who are struggling in Dutch, math, science or other areas. Of course, I also offer courses for adults. MY EXPERIENCE : I helped several students to pass the CE1D exam in Dutch (written, oral, listening comprehension). In addition, I also assisted students with their homework and for various subjects at secondary level (Maths, Handel (commerce), Sciences: WO, NW...). I gave lessons to three young girls for several years. The youngest (8 years old) had difficulties in Dutch, and my goal was to help her gain confidence in speaking Dutch, while making the lessons fun. We played educational board games. The second was 10 years old, I helped her with her homework and we also played board games that encouraged dialogue. With the oldest, I approached specific subjects. For example, with regard to science, which she studied in Dutch, I helped her to understand the vocabulary and to structure her study. I also gave lessons to a mother who needed to learn Dutch for her job. During a test carried out on the CLL site to assess my level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2), I obtained the result C2: "The student expresses himself appropriately in n' any situation, by dominating the linguistic and cultural elements proper to a native speaker and by knowing how to distinguish shades of meaning."

Dutch language course & tutoring (private / small groups) (Overijse)
Kris
We focused the lessons on learning communication, rather than studying the language. We add the things we practice to a document, and he sends it at the end of the class. Even though I started from zero, he's been quite patient and kind. And by now, zero-stress with grammar/theory. After a month, I am starting to be able to have a simple conversation at a store without barely help of another language, and I am taking a liking of Dutch.
