Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world. I've been teaching during the last 8 years. Children and Adults If you have a child or know someone who has developed an interest in learning the piano, you'd like to learn it as a second instrument, or you are a working professional who just fancies trying something new, I'd be happy to get you started on your musical journey. What to expect? You can learn how to read music, understand simple music theory, play simple chords and scales, develop your own creativity, and can focus on playing some classical/jazz/pop pieces and even work towards taking online performance exams. I will develop enjoyable lessons tailored specifically to you. Making the first steps In the beginning, the piano can be very overwhelming! I take a lot of time on the basics as there is always a lot to learn and take in. I use a variety of beginner method books and resources to help you build your confidence in understanding the piano itself, developing your coordination skills, learning to understand the musical notes on the page, developing your musical ear, and understanding basic music theory. Jazz - Pop - Classical After having covered the basics of piano playing, theory, and reading skills, many of my students move on to playing classical, jazz, blues, or pop pieces, practicing scales and finger exercises as well as further strengthening their sight-reading skills. Lesson Location I live in The Hague and teach from my apartment on a Yamaha Acoustic Upright and Electric piano.
