About Me
Hello! I am an experienced Biostatistician and Microbiologist that obtained First Class Honors in both degrees. For over 6 years, I have been working with several individuals; students and their parents inclusive, in order to bring out the best in them. I am not only equipped with theoretical skills; I have excellent hands-on practical experiences in several fields of Mathematics (Basic Counting, Arithmetics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, etc), and Science, including, Physics, Chemistry, Basic/integrated Science, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Microbiology, Immunology and Immunochemistry, etc.
I have the rare ability to simplify complex concepts within a short time. I leave no stone unturn in my quest to see that my students quickly grasp each lesson. I try to relate the topics to real-life events, for quick assimilation. I also assess my students’ level of knowledge before and after every lesson, to make sure there are tremendous improvements.
I have used numerous learning tools to make my lessons engaging and funful. These tools make each class seem as a physical one. I use digital whiteboards such as Microsoft whiteboard; I also use web conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google meet, and Skype. I use content-creation tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Lastly, I use Canva for creating all types of graphics, including infographics.
In addition to working in the academic setting, I have worked in the Hospital setting as a Medical Laboratory technician; hence, I understand a whole lot about the biological structure and functionality of the human body and those of other organisms. And, these experiences have enabled me to effectively teach for these years. I believe you have great potentials; hence, your success is my priority!

I believe that every child has great potentials locked-up within them, and through effective communication, flexibility, patience, love, care, and diligence, these potentials could be unlocked. I possess these, and they have enabled me over the years, to effectively simplify difficult concepts within a short time, for my students.
I know how difficult it is for a child to easily and quickly grasp Mathematical concepts; and, I am proud for the opportunity to become part of the success story of these kinds of children. I believe that every child has great potentials locked-up within them, waiting for a loving, caring, dedicated, and flexible tutor to bring out the best in them. This is why for the past 3 years, I have given myself to the tutoring of K-12 students, and have helped improve their learning abilities; so that they earned high grades/scores in examinations, such as WASSCE, GRE, ACT, SAT, GCE, and Common entrance.

Biology - GCSE, A level tutoring and primary school teaching**Class Description:**
This tutoring service offers comprehensive support for GCSE and A-Level Biology students across all UK examination boards. Each session is specifically tailored to the individual learning needs of the student, focusing on both the academic requirements of their syllabus and their personal progress.
As a fourth-year medical student, I bring a deeper understanding of biology through advanced studies and real-world applications, allowing me to provide insight into the subject beyond the curriculum. My teaching approach goes beyond simply preparing for exams; while exam-style questions will be regularly incorporated to ensure familiarity with the format and structure of assessments, the main focus will be on fostering a thorough and long-lasting understanding of biological concepts.
Homework will be assigned after every lesson to reinforce the topics covered and ensure consistent progress. Additionally, exam-style questions will be systematically reviewed and analysed, equipping students with the confidence and exam techniques needed to excel in their qualifications. With this combination of tailored tutoring, practical insight, and academic support, students will be empowered to master their Biology studies and achieve their goals.
I hold advanced DBS certification, have worked with children before and also work in psychology and paediatrics within the NHS.

plasma membrane: structure, function, propertiesStructure of the plasma membrane
The plasma membrane is mainly composed of:
Phospholipids: These amphipathic molecules (having both a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic part) are organized into a double lipid layer. This structure gives the membrane its semi-permeable barrier property.
Proteins: They are integrated into the lipid bilayer and perform various functions: transport of molecules, reception of signals, cellular recognition, etc.
Carbohydrates: Linked to lipids (glycolipids) or proteins (glycoproteins), they play an important role in cell recognition and cellular interactions.
Function of the plasma membrane
Selective barrier: The plasma membrane allows the selective passage of certain molecules while preventing others.
Transport: Membrane proteins provide passive (simple or facilitated diffusion) or active (pumps) transport of molecules across the membrane.
Receiving signals: Membrane receptors allow the cell to detect and respond to signals from its environment.
Cell recognition: Molecules present on the surface of the membrane allow cells to recognize and interact with each other.
Maintenance of homeostasis: The plasma membrane helps maintain a stable intracellular environment by regulating exchanges between the cell and its environment.
Properties of the plasma membrane
Fluidity: The plasma membrane is not a rigid structure but rather fluid, which allows it to deform and change shape.
Asymmetry: The two faces of the plasma membrane have different compositions, which gives the membrane polarity.
Plasma membrane models
Fluid mosaic model: This model, the most accepted, describes the membrane as a constantly changing mosaic of lipids and proteins.

Studying the biology of all living things and other components of biologyBiology can be tricky as it contains lots of different components. This can be introduced slowly as I will provide support over lessons teaching you lots of information but a slow and steady pace giving you questions and answers along the way. Homework will also be provided this is to ensure that the lesson has stuck into your head and you have grasped it. If not there is no worries as things can take a while to learn but by the end you will feel a lot less stress about what you may be learning in biology. You may be finding one specific topic in biology hard and we can always go over that in the lesson or we can find stuff to look over in the lessons to keep your brains up to date for upcoming important exams.

Tutoring for both boards of Cambridge and edexcel. IGCSE / GCSE/IB/AS BIOLOGYBiology is particularly a challenging subject because it requires you to first understand the enormous number of concepts and then memories it simultaneously. I'll teach biology through the slides I have prepared (ig/GCSE only) which are made from multiple resource, such as marking scheme, the book and examiner reports, this is beneficial as while I teach the concept it will come to the student the exact way the examiner wants the student to answer, and ofcource while learning the slides he will be Able to directly do the past papers as the notes are mastercopy of the source itself. Moreover, I'll make sure that each topic is fully understood by the student so there will be no room for error.
