*English* As a law student specializing in human rights, my extensive research has revealed that the emotional well-being of children plays a crucial role in their academic performance. Children who feel safe, valued, and understood often exhibit greater self-confidence and are better able to focus and reach their full potential. My goal is to support children through conversations aimed at boosting their self-confidence. During these discussions, I provide children with the space to express their feelings, share their concerns, and offer them strategies to handle challenges. By helping them build their self-worth and confidence, they can better concentrate on their schoolwork and achieve their best performance. Additionally, I strongly believe in the power of parental involvement. By supporting parents and providing them with insights into their children's emotional needs, we can work together to create an environment that fosters their learning both at home and at school. *Dutch* Als rechtenstudent met een specialisatie in mensenrechten, heb ik door uitgebreid onderzoek ontdekt dat het emotionele welzijn van kinderen een cruciale rol speelt in hun schoolprestaties. Kinderen die zich veilig, gewaardeerd en begrepen voelen, hebben vaak meer zelfvertrouwen en zijn beter in staat om zich te concentreren en hun volledige potentieel te benutten. Mijn doel is om kinderen te ondersteunen door middel van gesprekken die gericht zijn op het versterken van hun zelfvertrouwen. Tijdens deze gesprekken geef ik kinderen de ruimte om hun gevoelens te uiten, hun zorgen te delen, en bied ik hen handvatten om met uitdagingen om te gaan. Door hen te helpen hun eigenwaarde en zelfvertrouwen op te bouwen, kunnen zij zich beter focussen op hun schoolwerk en hun beste prestaties leveren. Daarnaast geloof ik sterk in de kracht van ouderlijke betrokkenheid. Door ouders te ondersteunen en hen inzicht te geven in de emotionele behoeften van hun kinderen, kunnen we samen werken aan een omgeving die zowel thuis als op school bevorderlijk is voor hun leerprestaties.
