My name is Wael and I have been teaching architecture and general design classes for several years. I graduated from the University of Syria (Architecture) in 2015. I feel comfortable teaching college and university students as well as adults who want to enter the interior design profession. I understand that as creative individuals we all process information differently, therefore my teaching methods will be tailored to your requirements. Class times will also be scheduled around your availability. Regardless of your experience, I believe I can teach you Revit to accomplish what you need. My typical class is usually between 1-2 hours long. I have been teaching this software since 2013. I still use this software during my design projects. The classes will be adopted to the students specific needs, in one of the three languges mentioned, italian, greek or english.

I have three years of experience in teaching at the university level, and I am always keen to work with you on the conceptual, artistic, and technical dimensions of your design projects no matter the scale. I can also work with you to acquire foundational design skills and prepare you for future studies. Together we will touch upon: 1- The design process and tools. (e.g. conceptualizing, sketching, modelling, contextualizing, mapping, diagramming) 2- Aesthetic and practical considerations (e.g. expression, quality, human perception, climate, sustainability) 3- The spatial experience and how to materialize it (e.g. space and structure, flow and movement, materiality, detailing) 4- the modes of architectural drawing and visualization (e.g. plans, sections, elevations, axonometrics, perspectives, collages, layouts) 5- Relevant softwares (e.g. AutoCAD, Rhino3D, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

This combination of art and English class will help children explore their creative ability and, at the same time, gain new language skills. We can discuss any medium you want your child to explore and I will create a suitable lesson for each class. Tailored classes with interesting artistic topics will provide extra motivation for students and encourage them to remember various information from the class. Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

I graduated with a First Class BA Honours in Fine Art from Southampton University. I run workshops for groups locally, and work with therapeutic art techniques. I'm well-versed in grant writing, having achieved 3 successful grants to date and my work is featured in a number of publications. I have been fortunate enough to have works in private collections. My hours are flexible, and the range of mediums I work in is too. I have experience teaching, and am bilingual in English and Greek.

I have completed both Under-graduation and Post-graduation in Fine Arts and PG diploma in Pre&Primary teachers training. My careful preparation of lesson plans allowed me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that the adult and young students could grasp, which was rewarding for both my students and for me. I always give my best by managing the difference of abilities among my students and tailoring the activities to maintain the interest level of students without any intimidation.
