With the arrival of new technologies, changes in program pricing and rates have become a nightmare, programs with unpayable rents and services that are updated every year, changing the interface and its operation... it is necessary to look for alternatives. This course offers you an introduction to Krita, a free and OpenSource digital painting program that will allow you to create images at a professional level and learn about free alternatives on the market. We will carry out digital painting exercises for backgrounds, concepts and 2D video games in which we will be able to explore the Krita tools.

In this course we will see how to make comics through presentations, exercises and activities in different sessions. Defining the elements of the comic, its language, the comic script, the creation of characters, backgrounds. We will develop a small comic project in which the student will implement what they have learned in a short comic.

This course on the fundamentals of drawing brings together the curricula of universities where I have previously taught classes. Tasks and presentations are implemented in a total of Ten classes. Student work and practice is very important for this course, so there will be homework. The topics to be seen will be: Organizational line and relational thinking, line weight and variation, proportions and structure of planes, perspective, values and tones, textures and detailing.
