I offer private lessons, adapted to the needs and experiences of each person to find your voice as an artist.
Graduated in lyrical singing (New Zealand School of Music), I also have a background as an artist-author (pop/rock) and singer of traditional Scottish and folk music.
The music begins as soon as the song is performed; you don't have to wait until you reach a specific level! This is why we work on interpretation directly in my classes, always linked to pedagogy to develop the right vocal techniques to protect and boost your voice.
We begin each class with warm-up exercises, muscle activation and body relaxation, as well as educational exercises adapted to your needs. Then we work on one or more songs.
I encourage experienced adults to come in with their voice already warmed up, but it's not at all necessary if that's not possible for you!

I offer vocal coaching in English or French, adapted to your needs as an artist.
My teaching is based on pedagogy studied at the New Zealand School of Music (Bachelor of Music and Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Voice), and I have experience singing and teaching in pop/rock styles, as well as folk and Scottish Trad.
I believe that the music starts as soon as we start really interpreting the song, and not once we've reached a certain level. This means that we'll also approach a song with musicality, of course with pedagogy informing a good technique to protect your voice, and enable it to do what you want it to do, musically!
Each lesson or coaching session starts with exercises to warm up your voice, as well as relaxing and engaging the muscles in your body to help support your sound. We then will work on the songs themselves! Adults with experience are warmly encouraged to arrive already warmed up and ready to go, but we often lead busy lives, and it's no problem if this isn't possible.

Unleash your vocal potential while staying comfortably at home.
Historically, I preferred in-person singing lessons, but there are several situations where this is not the most accessible or even the most desired option!
In 2020, I began leading group singing and vocal technique workshops online, and since then, I have been able to develop exercises that meet the individual needs of each singer in order to offer personalized programs. These exercises are based on the singing pedagogy that I studied during my singing diplomas (BAC +3, then an additional year (BAC +4 equivalent) and several short courses). The exercises take into account the physiological function of the voice and our entire body as an instrument.
In these lessons, we will cover vocal techniques, breathing, voice placement as well as develop knowledge of the mechanism of the voice, articulators and muscles that stabilize breathing and breathing. We dedicate time at the end of each class to sing one or more songs to practice the techniques learned.
These courses are perfect for people who do not have the opportunity to take face-to-face lessons due to weather or their geographical location, but also for those who want to start learning to sing with less anxiety.
And for those who prefer to practice their English at the same time, your lessons can be in English (my mother tongue) or in French, or a mix of the two!

Looking for an English-speaking singing teacher based in France?
Unleash your vocal potential from the comfort of your own home; either in French, or English, or in a mix of both!
English is my first language, so lessons in English are no problem at all, whether it's your first, second or even third + language!
Why am I offering these online?
Historically, I preferred in-person singing lessons, but there are several situations where this is not the most accessible or preferred option.
In 2020, I started conducting online group workshops and since then, I have developed exercises that meet the individual needs of each singer to offer personalized programs. The exercises are based on the singing pedagogy I studied during my singing bachelor degree, postgraduate diploma, and short courses. They consider the physiological function of the voice and our entire body as an instrument, so are based in science, and translated into ways we can think and feel when (and before) we sing.
During each lesson, you'll work on exercises for you to develop an understanding of your own voice and body-as-instrument. The exercises will help you unlock ways to engage and relax your muscles and articulators in order to both support the breath and reduce vocal fatigue. Depending on your goals, we'll dedicate a certain amount of time during each session to apply these techniques into songs you're singing, or new ones you're wanting to learn.
These courses are perfect for people who do not have the possibility to take in-person lessons due to time constraints, mobility considerations or geographic location, but also for those who wish to start their singing lessons now, but are a bit anxious to meet in person at first!
